Amanda Lee has been named the first PacWest Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week of 2015. The award is based on matches played Sept. 3-6.
The Daly City, California native tallied 111 digs in the Route 92 Showdown on the weekend, averaging 6.94 digs per set. She leads the conference in digs average by more than two digs per set. She had 39 digs in a five-set win over Cal State Dominguez Hills, setting the Dominican record in the DII era.
The Penguins will host their first home match of the season on Friday, Sept. 11 when Sonoma State comes calling. First serve is slated for 7 p.m.
