Austin Bryan was named to the Pacific West Conference Weekly Top 10 Honor Roll for the second straight week on Monday, Feb. 8, just three weeks after earning Player of the Week honors. The award was announced by the PacWest Media Office in Phoenix, AZ for games contested Feb. 1-7.
The Wenatchee, Wash. native scored 24 points, doled out four assists, and grabbed six rebounds in the Penguins' lone game of the week, an 87-69 loss at BYU-Hawaii on Feb. 6. He hit 3-of-7 (.429) three-point attempts and had a 1.3 assist/turnover ratio.
Bryan is second in the conference in scoring with 22.4 points per game and has an .889 free throw shooting percentage. The 6-4 guard is tied for seventh with 1.7 steals per game. Bryan is third in the PacWest with 2.4 three-pointers per game and is fifth in the PacWest with a .447 three-point field goal percentage. He is ninth in blocks with .9 per game.
The Penguins are coming off an overtime defeat of Chaminade University, where Bryan scored a career-high 34 points. The Penguins, currently tied for fifth place in the PacWest, travel to first-place Hawai'i Pacific University on Wednesday, Feb. 10 and wrap up their Hawaiian road trip by hopping islands to face the University of Hawai'i, Hilo on Friday, Feb. 12. Tipoff for both games is set for 7:30 p.m. Hawaiian/9:30 p.m. Pacific
